In exercise of the powers vested in me vide Rule 2(e) of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat (Election

Procedure) Rules, 1996, I, W. V. Ramanamurthy, IAS (Retd.), Commissioner of Goa State Election Commission,

Altinho, Panaji-Goa hereby appoint the following Officers as Returning Officers and Assistant Returning

Officers within their concerned jurisdiction for the ensuing bye-elections to the vacant seats of Panchayat

Whereas, the Bye Elections to Ward No. V of

Village Panchayat St. Estevam, Ward No. VII of

Village Panchayat Parcem and Ward No. II of Village

Panchayat Dramapur Sirlim is scheduled to be held

in the month of July 2023.

Now therefore, the State Election Commission in

exercise of the powers conferred upon it under

Article 243K of the Constitution of India and Section

237(1) and (3) of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, do

hereby notify as follows:-

(a) “that the Collector and District Magistrate, North

Goa shall function as the overall District

Election Officer (DEO) for Ward No. V of Village

Panchayat St. Estevam in Tiswadi Taluka and

Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Parcem in

Pernem Taluka”.

(b) “that the Collector and District Magistrate,

South Goa shall function as the overall District

Election Officer (DEO) for Ward No. II of Village

Panchayat Dramapur Sirlim in Salcete Taluka”.

This comes into force with immediate effect.

In exercise of the powers conferred on me vide

Rule 5 of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat

(Election Procedure) Rules, 1996, I, W. V.

Ramanamurthy, IAS (Retd.), Commissioner of Goa

State Election Commission, hereby notify that the

Electoral Roll of the Goa Legislative Assembly

prepared under the provisions of Representation of

People Act, 1950 (Central Act 43 of 1951) for the

time being in force as on 1st January, 2023

(published on 27th January, 2023) along with the

supplement published on 30th April, 2023 for such

Constituencies of the Assembly or any part thereof

as is included in the area within the jurisdiction

Village Panchayats shall be adopted for the purpose

of preparation of Electoral Roll for ensuing Bye

Elections to Ward No. V of Village Panchayat

St. Estevam, Ward No. II of Village Panchayat

Dramapur Sirlim and Ward No. VII of Village

Panchayat Parcem.
