Whereas, the general elections to elect the members of the Village Panchayat Taleigao was held on

28-04-2024.

And whereas, the election to the post of Sarpanch and Dy. Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Taleigao will

be held on 06-05-2024 after which the newly elected body will start functioning.

And whereas, therefore, it is necessary to appoint an Administrator to run the affairs and all other

activities of the said Panchayat till a new elected body of members headed by the Sarpanch takes the

charge of the respective Panchayat;

And whereas, the Government has decided to appoint below mentioned official as Administrator of the

Village Panchayat Taleigao.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 180 of the Goa Panchayat

Raj Act, 1994 (Goa Act 14 of 1994), the Government of Goa hereby appoints the person specified in Column

(3) of the Schedule below as Administrator of the Panchayat mentioned in the corresponding entry in

Column (2) of the said Schedule with immediate effect until the post of Sarpanch and Dy. Sarpanch has

been filled or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The aforesaid Administrator shall, during the period of his/her appointment, exercise all the powers,

perform and discharge all the duties and functions conferred and imposed upon the Sarpanch or the

Dy. Sarpanch or the members of Village Panchayat under the provisions of the said Act and the rules made

thereunder or any other law. However, no decision in exercise of the above powers shall be taken by the

Administrator without approval of the Block Development Officer of the Tiswadi Taluka/Block.

This issues with the approval of the Government.
