Read: Notification No. 2/2/2010-GAD-III/Vol.I/1405 dated 01-04-2026.

Pursuant to the rescinding of the Notification No. 100/GOA-LA/1/2026 dated 16-03-2026 regarding

Bye-election to 21—Ponda Assembly Constituency in the State of Goa and declaring of all consequential

action as null and void by the Election Commission of India on account of the Order dated 08/04/2026 of

Hon’ble High Court of Bombay at Goa in Writ Petition Nos. 235 of 2026, 237 of 2026 and Miscellaneous

Civil Application No. 186 of 2026 in Writ Petition No. 237 of 2026, the “paid holiday” declared vide

Notification dated 01-04-2026 read above, on Thursday, the 9^th April, 2026 (Chaitra 19, Saka 1948) being

the “Polling Day” for the Bye-Election to 21—Ponda Assembly Constituency, in the State of Goa, for the

voters of the said Bye-election, stands cancelled.
