Notification

In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 166 of the Constitution of India and all other powers

enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Goa hereby makes the following rules so as to further amend

the Business of the Government of Goa (Allocation) Rules, 1987, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Business of the Government of

Goa (Allocation) (Fifty-sixth Amendment) Rules, 2026.

(2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Schedule.— In the Schedule appended to the Business of the Government of Goa

(Allocation) Rules, 1987,—

(i) at serial number 20, under the heading “Department of Labour”, clause (c) shall be omitted;

(ii) after serial number 56, the following shall be inserted, namely:—

“57. Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers:—

(a) Matters related to the safety, health, welfare, working hours and working conditions in the

factories and other matters connected therewith or incidental thereto;

(b) Matters related to the safety of the boilers during manufacture, erection and use and other

matters connected therewith or incidental thereto;

(c) Matters related to the safety in handling, storage and use of hazardous chemicals in factories

and other matters connected therewith or incidental thereto;

(d) Industrial Safety Training Centre;

(e) Industrial Hygiene Laboratory.”.
