On the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission as conveyed vide their letter No.

COM/I/5/30(7)/2021/118 dated 05-07-2024, Government is pleased to appoint Dr. Gaurish Omprakash

Sawant to the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery

(Group “A” Gazzetted) in Goa Medical College & Hospital, Bambolim-Goa in the Level 11 of Pay Matrix

(PB-3; Rs. 15600-39100/- + G.P. Rs. 6600/-) and other allowance to be fixed as per rules with immediate

effect.

Dr. Gaurish Omprakash Sawant shall be on probation for a period of two years.

Dr. Gaurish Omprakash Sawant has been declared medically fit by the Medical Board and his

character and antecedents has been verified by the District Magistrate, North Goa and verification of his

educational qualification has also been verified by Goa University, Maharashtra University of Health

Sciences, Nasik and University of Delhi.

The appointment is made against vacancies occurred due to creation of posts of Assistant Professor in

Goa Medical College vide Order No. 4/1/2018-II/PHD/1195 dated 14-08-2019 and bifurcation of 03 posts

of Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVTS), GMC vide

Order No. 4/1/2018-II/PHD/Part-I/3383 dated 23-10-2020.
