S.O.340 dated 19th December, 2008—In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection

(4) of Section-3AA of the Bihar Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No. 27 of 2005) the Governor

of Bihar is pleased to exempt the supply of 75 thousand tons of rice and 50 thousand tons of

wheat allotted by the Central Government for free distribution among victims of the devastating

flood in August, 2008 of the state from the levy of Additional Tax.

S.O 342, dated 19th December, 2008-In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection

(2) of Section-14 of the Bihar Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No. 27 of 2005), the Governor of

Bihar is pleased to make the following amendment to the schedule I appended to the said Act :-

Amendments

After serial No. 76 of schedule I appended to the Bihar Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act

No. 27 of 2005) a new serial No. 77 shall be added in the following way :-

“77. 75 thousand tons of rice and 50 thousand tons of wheat allotted by the Central

Government for free distribution among victims of devastating flood of August,

2008 of the State.”
