No. 345 A—In exercise of powers conferred under section 11 of the code of Criminal

Procedure, 1973 (Act 2 of 1974), the Court are pleased to appoint Sri Anil Kumar Jha, Judicial

Magistrate, Patna as the Special Magistrate cum P.O. of the Additional special Court of Judicial

Magistrate (Munsif) at Muzaffarpur established vide Law Department’s Notification No. 2218/J, dated

1.7.05 for the entire State of Bihar with headquarters at Patna to try and if necessary to commit for trial

the cases investigated by the Delhi Special Police establishment of other Branches also besides the Patna

Branch, with respect to the offences covered under section 3 of the Delhi Special Police establishment

Act, 1946 for the area of Jurisdiction of the Districts of Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Shekhpura, Jamui,

Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Supaul, Saharsa, Madhepura, Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar and Purnea.

The Court are further pleased to confer upon the said Magistrate the powers to take cognizance

of such cases investigated by the Delhi Special Police Establishment of the Patna Branch under Sub-

Section (1)(b) of Section 190 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 and to try or commit for trial of the

cases investigated by the Delhi Special Police Establishment of the Patna Branch.

column no. 2 of the table given below are appointed as special Judicial Magistrates of the 2^nd Class for a

period of one year with effect from the date of notification within the territorial jurisdiction mentioned

against their names in column no. 3 of the table, to try the cases under the BIHAR CONDUCT OF

EXAMINATION ACT, 1981 Which they can competently try under the code of Criminal Procedure,

1973.
