The 24th March 2009

G.S.R. No. 1, dated 30th March 2009—WHEREAS, the Government is of

opinion that it is necessary and expedient to set up Wheat procurement centers to ensure

the availability and supply of wheat on Minimum support price of the wheat in the

interest of farmers of Bihar .

2. All kinds and levels of societies registered under Bihar State Co-operative

societies Act 1935 & Bihar Swablambi Co-operative societies Act 1996, Bihar State

Food corporation, BISCOMAUN, NAFED and Food corporation of India are hereby

authorised as procurement agencies for the procurement of wheat under Rabi Marketing

season 2009-10.

3. The Minimum support price of the wheat has been fixed up Rs. 1080.00 per

Quintal under Rabi Marketing season 2008-09 as per letter No. 160(4)/2008 P.Y dated

12.02.2009 of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & public Distribution (Food & public

Distribution Department) Government of India, New Delhi

4. This notification shall effective from 15.04.2009 to 31.07.09 for Rabi

Marketing season 2008-09 .
