ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA

ORDER

No. 3/4/ID/2009/SDR—In continuation of the Commission’s Order No.

3/4/ID/2009/SDR, dated 6^th April, 2009, the Commission directs that the “Student photo

identity card issued by recognized educational institutional on or before 1st

September 2008” shall also be permitted as an additional document for establishing the

identity of electors at the General Election to the House of the People in the State of

Bihar.

2. The student identity card will be accepted as an identification document subject

to the following conditions:-

(a) Only the student identity cards issued up to 1st September 2008 by

recognized educational institutions shall be permitted.

(b) It would be mandatory for an elector producing the student identity card for

identification to bring photocopy of the card, which will be retained by the

Presiding officer. After the close of poll, these copies will be sealed in a

separate cover and sent along with other election papers.

3. The abovementioned document is in addition to the documents listed at Para 9

of the Commission’s Order dated 6^th April 2009.
