No. 3/Mu. Amendment-37/2009-1469—In exercise of the power conferred under

section-27, and section-34 of the Court Fees Act, 1870 (No.-VII, 1870) to amend rule-5

of section-II of the Board’s Rules, in Bihar Stamp Manual, 1955 for the provision of use

of plain photo copier paper in place of copy stamps used for preparation of copies in the

courts, The Governor of Bihar makes the Bihar Court Fee (Board’s Rules Amendment)

Rules, 2010: --

The Bihar Court Fee (Board’s Rules Amendment) Rules, 2010

1. Short title extent and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called The

Bihar Court Fee (Board’s Rules Amendment) Rules, 2010.

(2)

It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.

(3)

It shall come into force at once.

2. The Rule-5 in section-II of the Bihar Stamp Manual, 1955 shall be substituted

as follows. —

“Rule-5- (1) In case of scarcity or in case if in any court sale of court fee stamps

begins by Franking Machine, in place of printed copy stamps (folio)

to be used for preparation of copies in the Civil Courts, Criminal

Courts and Revenue Courts, A-4 size white photo copies paper of

good quality shall be used.

(2) Court fee equivalent to the value of copy stamp shall be paid in the

prescribed manner on the plain paper to be used for copy.”
