NOTIFICATION
Nirvachan Sadan, Ashoka Road, New Delhi Dated :9th November, 2010/Kartika 18, 1932 (Saka)
No. 37/LC-BR/2010-CC & BE :—WHEREAS, the Commission had issued the programme
for revision of rolls of Bihar Legislative Council from Saran and Gaya Graduates Constituencies
vide its letter dated 15th September, 2010. The period of filing claims and objections was fixed
from 1st October 2010 to 11th November 2010.
WHEREAS, the Chief Electoral Officer, Bihar has sought extension of the time limit for
filing claims and objections in respect of the said revision on the plea that the General Election
to State Legislative Assembly of Bihar is going on and the staff and election machinery are busy
in the general election work in Bihar.
WHEREAS, the Commission has accepted the request of CEO, Bihar and has decided to
extend the period of filing claims and objections for enrollment as electors in above mentioned
Graduates Constituencies under rule 12 of Registration of Electors Rules, 1960, for a period
from 12th November 2010 to 10th December 2010.
