S.O. 325, dated 26^th September 2011—Where as vide Home (Special)

Department Notification No.-271/H.S.C, Dated 26^th February 2006. The Governor of

Bihar was pleased to constitute a judicial enquiry, commission for Enquiry into the

communal disturbance that had occurred in and around Bhagalpur from 24^th October

1989 to 1990 under the commission of enquiry Act 1952 (No. 60, 1952) the term of the

commission was fixed from 6th months from the date of notification i.e. 26^th February

2006 to 25^th August 2006. The Governor of Bihar was pleased to appoint Shree N.N.

Singh (Retd.) Hon’ble Justice to Patna High Court, Patna as its chairman. The term of

commission was extended vide notification number 13415, dated 20^th September 2006,

4007, dated 05^th April 2007, 3005, dated 17^th March 2008, 2081, dated 09^th April 2009,

7799, dated 01^st October 2009, 2037, 23rd February 2010 and 3446 Dated 15^th April

2011 from dated 26^th August 2006 to 25^th February 2007, 26th February 2007 to 25th

February 2008, 26th February 2008 to 25^th February 2009, 26th February 2009 to 25^th

August 2009, 26th August 2009 to 25^th February 2010, 26^th February 2010 to 25^th

February 2011 and 26th February 2011 to 31^st August 2011.

2. NOW, the Governor of Bihar in further pleased that in order to complete the

enquiry, the commission requires further extention from 01^st September 2011 to 29^th

February 2012.

3. NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of powers comferred by the section-3 of the said

Act, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to extend the period of commission of judicial

enquiry from 01^st September 2011 to 29^th February 2012.
