No. 3A-3-(T.A.)-05/2004(Part)-9933/F—In exercise of powers conferred under the

proviso to the Article - 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to

add the following UP-prakaran and rule 140 A after Rule 140 of UP-Prakaran (12) of

Prakaran-6 of Bihar Travelling Allowances Rules, 1949:—

"UP-Prakaran (13) Travel for completing election duty

140 A - Election Special Travelling Allowance : Election Special Travelling

Allowance will be admissible for the journey performed for election duty (i.e. for actual

performance of Election duty on the day of poll or on proceeding for such duty or coming

back on completion of it.), the rate for which will be decided by the concerned department

with the consent of Finance Department, on the basis of daily allowance and journey

performed at enhanced rate. For special Travelling Allowance only certificate of performing

election duty will be sufficient and it will not be necessary for the concerned employee to

submit any Travelling Allowance Bill. For the Accounting purpose, the concerned receipt

accordingly."

This rule shall be deemed to be effective from 17^th February 2009.
