The 3^rd November 2011

S.O. 387, dated 8^th November 2011—In exercise of the powers conferred by section-

16 of the Bihar Special Security Group Act, 2000 (Act. 8 of 2000) the Governor of Bihar is

pleased to make the following rules to amend the Bihar Special Security Group

(Appointment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2000 (as amended from time to time) for

constitution of Special Security Group, regulating the manner of appointment and conditions

of service of the said group and matters incidental and related thereto:—

1. Short title, extent and commencement—(i) These rules may be called the Bihar

Special Security Group (Appointment and conditions of service) (Amendment) Rules, 2011.

(ii) It shall extend to the whole state of Bihar.

(iii) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment:—Sub-rule (4) of rule-5 of the Bihar Special Security Group

(Appointment and conditions of service) Rules, 2000, shall be substituted by the

following:—

“(4) Upper age limit for induction into the Group shall be the following:—

1.

Deputy Superintendent of Police

-

45 years.

2.

Inspector/Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police

-

45 years.

3.

Sub-Inspector of Police /Hawaldar

-

45 years.

4.

Constables

-

30 years.”
