The 15th october 2013

S.O. 515, dated the 18th October 2013—Whereas vide Home Department (Special)

Notification No.B/Pol Firing (Madhubani)-01/2012-9372 Dated 18^th Oct.,2012, the

Governor of Bihar was pleased to constitute an Enquiry Commission under the

Commission of Inquiry Act (No.60, 1952) for inquiring into the incident of Police firing ,

which took place on 12^th Oct., 2012 at Madhubani. The term of commission was fixed for 6

months from the date of Notification i.e 18.10.2012 to 17.4.2013. Keeping in view of the

further necessity of the Commission to complete the enquiry, the first time extension was

given from 18.4.2013 to 17.10.2013 vide Home Department Notification No. 3404 dated

15.4.2013. Shri Uday Sinha (Retd.) Hon’ble Justice, Patna High Court is the Chairman of

the Commission.

2. Further, whereas, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to decide that in order to

complete the enquiry, the Commission requires to be given further extension of tenure from

18.10.2013 to 17.4.2014.

3. Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by section-3 of Act no.60 of

1952, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to extend the period of the Commission of Enquiry

from 18.10.2013 to 17.4.2014.
