The 3rd January 2014

S.O. 04, dated 6th January 2014—Whereas vide Home Department (Special)

Notification No. B/Pol.firing(Bagha)-02/2013-5860 Dated 04^th July 2013, the Governor of

Bihar was pleased to constitute an Enquiry Commission under the Commission of Enquiry

Act (No. 60, 1952) for inquiring into the incident of police firing, which took place on 24^th

June., 2013 at Bagha. The term of the commission was fixed for 6 months from the date of

notification i.e. 04-07-2013 to 04-01-2014 Shri Rajendra Prasad (Retd.) Hon’ble Justice to

Patna High Court, Patna is the Chairman of the Commission.

2. Further, whereas, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to decide that in order to

complete the enquiry, the Commission requires to be given further extension of tenure from

05-01-2014 to 04-01-2015

3. Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by section-3 of Act no. 60 of

1952, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to extend the period of the Commission of enquiry

from 05-01-2014 to 04-01-2015.
