No. 2@VSDl@VSDVj&Vªsyj&loZ{kek&42@2012@1373—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section(7) of section 7 and section 15 of the Bihar Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1994, the

State Government grants amnesty to the owners of tax defaulters or unregistered tractors

and trailers on payment of lump sum amount of Rs. 8,000/- for tractors and Rs. 10,000/- for

trailers in lieu of arrears of tax and penalty, in the following manner :-

From the date of notification till 31^st July, 2014, such registered/ unregistered

tractors who have become tax defaulters may deposit a lump sum tax amount of Rs.

8,000/ in lieu of arrears of tax and penalty.

From the date of notification till 31^st July, 2014, such registered/unregistered trailers

being used for commercial purpose and transporting agricultural products who have

become tax defaulter may deposit a lum sum tax amount of Rs. 10,000/- in lieu of

arrears of tax penalty.

Amnesty scheme shall remain effective till 31^th July, 2014, from the date of

notification. Those owners, who do not avail of the scheme during the aforesaid

period shall have to pay taxes and penalty as per the provisions of Bihar Motor

Vehicle Taxation Act, 1994 and Bihar Motor Vehicle Taxation Rules, 1994.
