No. 3@fofo/k&10104@13&814—In exercise of powers conferred by proviso to Article

309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to make the following

Rules to regulate the recruitment and service conditions on the posts of group ‘C’ Vehicle

Driver at departmental level of the Public Health Engineering Department of the State of

Bihar :-

1. Short title, extent & commencement.— (1) These Rules may be called The

Bihar Public Health Engineering Department Group- C Vehicle Driver Cadre (Recruitment

and Service Conditions) Rules, 2014.

(2) It will extend to the whole State of Bihar. It will apply equally to Departmental

and Muffasil Offices.

(3) It will come into force with immediate effect.

2. The Bihar Vehicle Drivers (Recruitment and Service conditions) Rules, 2005 (as

amended from time to time) issued under notification no.- 3/R-1-46/2000-2492, dated

30.11.2005 of the Personnel & Administrative Department, now General Administration

Department, is adopted for the Public Health Engineering Department.

According to rule-7 of Chapter-3 (Recruitment) of the Rules, the Engineer-in-Chief-

Cum-Special Secretary shall be the Appointing Authority for Vehicle Drivers.
