No. 11N.Ni.Ma.(Aa.Pra.)&05@2014-393/UD&HD—In exercise of the powers

conferred by section-11 of the Bihar Urban Planning and Development Act, 2012 read with

Rule-11 of the Bihar Urban Planning and Development Rule, 2014, the Government of

Bihar, is hereby pleased to constitute the Planning Authority after declaration of Patna

Planning Area for the purpose of proposed Patna Master Plan, 2031, which shall be known

as "Patna Metropolitan Area Authority" and it shall be constituted consisting of the

followings :-

(i)

Secretary, Urban Development & Housing Department -Chairman

(ii)

Chief Town Planner or representative,

-Ex officio

Town and Country Planning Organization

(iii)

District Magistrate, Patna

-Member

(iv)

Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Patna -Member

(v)

Executive officer, Nagar Parishad Danapur

-Member

(vi)

Executive officer, Nagar Parishad Khagaul

-Member

(vii) Executive officer, Nagar Parishad Phulwarisarif

-Member

(viii) Representative of Public Health Engineering Department -Member

not below Joint Secretary

(ix)

Representative of Road Construction Department

-Member

not below Joint Secretary

(x)

Persons who possess special knowledge or practical

-Member

experience in town planning appointed by State

Government not exceeding two

(xi)

Chief Executive officer

-Member Secretary

Patna Metropolitan Area Authority

Name(s) of the persons mentioned in sub clause-(x) and (xi) noted above shall be

notified by the Urban Development and Housing Department.

Appointment of The Vice-chairman of this Metropolitan Area Authority, and office,

Terms of office and others of the planning Authority shall be determined by the

Urban Development and Housing Department as per corresponding sections of the

Bihar Urban Planning and Development Act, 2012. as well as corresponding rules

of Bihar Urban Planning and Development Rule, 2014.

This Authority shall exercise its powers prescribed in the said Act and Rule for

execution of its duties.
