The 5th November 2014

S.O. 458, dated 7th November 2014—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of Section 13 and Sub-Section (1) of Section 14 of the Bengal, Agra and Assam

Civil Courts Act 1887 (Act XII of 1887) and Sub-Section (2) of Section 7 and Sub-Section

(1) and (2) of Section 9 and Section 11 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act-2 of

1974) and in modification of all the previous orders and notifications issued on the Subject,

the Governor of Bihar is pleased to-

(i) constitute separate judicial District of present Saharsa judicial District; and

(ii) establish a Court of District and Sessions Judge, Supaul;

(iii) the Headquarters will be at Supaul.

(iv) The District and Sessions Court, Supaul will exercise jurisdiction over the

matter arising within the revenue limits of Supaul District with effect from

22nd November 2014 and District and Sessions Judge, Saharsa will cease to

have jurisdiction on such matter from 22nd November 2014.
