ॢबहर गजट [सधरण 19 फरवर 2016

1. Short title and commencement-(1) These rules may be called the Bihar

Panchayat Election (Amendment) Rules, 2016.

(2) It shall extend to the whole of the state of Bihar.

(3) It shall come into force immediately.

2. Sub-rule (2) of Rule 118 of the Bihar Panchayat Election Rules, 2006 shall

be substituted by the following:-

"(2) No expense in excess of Rupees twenty thousands in case of Member of Gram

Panchayat/Panch, Rupees thirty thousands in case of Member of Panchayat Samiti, Rupees

forty thousands in case of Mukhiya and Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat and Rupees one lakh

in case of Member of Zila Parishad shall be incurred or authorised by any candidate of the

Member of Gram Panchayat/Panch, Member of Panchayat Samiti, Mukhiya and Sarpanch

of Gram Panchayat and the Member of Zila Parishad or by their election agents on the

conduct and management of elections concerned."
