The 18^th February 2016

S.O. 45, dated the 22^nd February 2016— In exercise of powers conferred by Section-

44 of the Beedi and Cigar workers (Condition of Employment) Act,1966, the Governor of

Bihar is pleased to make the following Rules to amend the Bihar Beedi and Cigar Workers

(Condition of Employment) Rules,1968:-

1. Short Title extent and commencement:—(1) These Rules may be Called the

Bihar Beedi and Cigar Workers (Condition of Employment) (Amendment) Rules, 2016.

(2) It shall extend to the whole state of Bihar.

(3) It shall come into force from the date of publication in official Gazette.

2. Amendment of Rule 32 : - At the end of Rule 32 of the said Rules,1968, The

following provisos shall be added :-

“Provided that notwithstanding the provisions contained in Rule 32, in such cases,

where online Annual Return is filed in such format as may be prescribed by the Government

for the purpose, may be filed not later than 30^th june of every year.”

Provided further that the Government, by order, may make and notify consolidated

forms for maintaining registers and records in lieu of the forms prescribed in these rules.

Provided further that the Government may allow the registers and records to be

maintained in computerized or digital formats.”
