N0. 9/sa.sa.-20-102/99-12428/GAD—In exercise of the powers conferred by the

proviso of the article 309 of the constitution of India, the Governor of Bihar makes the

following Rules for the amendment of the Bihar Secretariat Clerical Service Rules 2006:-

1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These Rules may be called “The Bihar

Clerical Service (Amendment) Rules, 2016

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of sub rule (3) of rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006.—The proviso of

sub rule (3) of rule 7 of the Bihar Secretariat Clerical Service Rules, 2006 shall be

substituted by the following provision:-

“10% post of the authorized strength of lower division clerk shall be filled up by

the appointment of outstanding players by the prescribed procedure according to The Bihar

Outstanding Sportsperson Appointment Rules, 2014. The dependents of such government

servants who have died while in service, can be considered for the appointment on

compassionate basis against the rest of 75% posts of Direct Recruitment Quota on

fulfilling the requisite eligibility criterion for deserving candidates, for which

recommendation of the commission shall not be required.

Provided that after the appointment of dependents of the government servants,

who have died in service period, requisition for rest vacancies of each calendar year shall

be sent to the commission latest by the month of December of the proceeding calendar

year.”
