S.O. 248 dated the 4^th October 2016—In exercise of the Powers conferred under

Sub-Section(1) of Section 15 of Bodhgaya Temple Act (Bihar Act-17,1949) Bihar Governor

is hereby pleased to constitute the Bodhgaya Temple advisory Board in following manner:-

(A) Members from the Buddhist Countries –

1. H.E. The Ambassador of Bhutan

2. H.E. The Ambassador of Thailand

3. H.E. The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka

4. H.E. The Ambassador of Myanmar

5. H.E. The Ambassador of Japan

6. H.E. The Ambassador of Combodia

7. H.E. The Ambassador of Mongolia

2. The Board will function under Section 3 of the Act mainly as an advisory body to

the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee and will perform its duty as per the rules

prescribed by the State Government.

3. Tenure of the members will be of two years from the date of issue of this

notification.

4. Meeting of the Advisory Board will be held under the Chairmanship of anyone

member from the Buddhist countries mentioned in Para-‘A’ above, subject to their

availability.
