The 16^th March 2017

S.O. 14, dated 16^th March 2017—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section

(1) of section 84 of 'The Bihar Prohibition And Excise Act, 2016' (Bihar Act 20 of 2016) the

State Government, in the public interest and in consultation with the High Court of

Judicature at Patna, is pleased to designate the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, second

in seniority, posted and working in the Headquarters of respective Sessions Division of the

State, as Special Court for the purpose of trial of all offences under 'The Bihar Prohibition

And Excise Act 2016' (Bihar Act 20 of 2016);

2. Where there is only one Additional Sessions Judge posted and working, the Court

of First Additional Sessions Judge will be the Designated Special Court for the trial of the

cases filed under the 'The Bihar Prohibition And Excise Act, 2016' (Bihar Act 20 of 2016);

3. The Additional Sessions Judge concerned will discharge the duties of the

aforesaid Designated Special Court in addition to his normal duties.

4. This notification shall come into force at once.
