TO AMEND THE BIHAR LEGISLATURE (PAY, ALLOWANCES AND PENSION

OF MEMBERS) ACT, 2006 (BIHAR ACT 16, 2006)

Be it enacted by the legislature of the State of Bihar in the sixty eighth

Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

1. Short title and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Bihar Legislature

(Pay, Allowances And Pension of Members) (Amendment) Act, 2017.

(2) It shall come into force from the date of publication of the notification in

the Official gazette.

2. Preamble of The Bihar Act 16, 2006 shall be substituted by the

following:-

"Preamble-Act for determination of Pay Allowances and Pension of the

members of Legislature of Bihar State under the Provisions mentioned in Article

195 read with Article 245 and Article 246 (3) of the Constitution of India. "
