The 11^th September 2017

No. 02—In the exercise of the powers conferred under section-29-A of Legal

Services Authority Act, 1987 (Act no. 39 of 1987), (as amended from time to time) the

Bihar State Legal Services Authority hereby makes the following Regulation to amend the

Bihar State Legal Authority Regulations, 1998 (as amended from time to time):

1. Short title extent and Commencement.- (1) These Regulations may be called

the Bihar State Legal Services Authority (Amendment) Regulations, 2017

(2) It shall extend to the whole State of Bihar.

(3) It shall come into force from the date of its Notification in the Official Gazette.

The words "Superior Judicial Services" used in proviso to the Regulation 12(i)

of the said Regulations, 1998 shall be substitituted by the words "Civil Judge (Senior

Division)".

The word "Permanent" used in clause(f) of Sub Regulation (4) of Regulation 30

of the said Regulations, 1998 is hereby deleted.

The words "and Continuous" used in Sub Regulation (2) of Regulation 39 and

its proviso of the said Regulations, 1998 are hereby deleted.
