GSR 09 Dated The 5^th December 2017— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3

of the Essential commodities Act, 1955 (10 0f 1955) read with the Removal of ( Licensing

requirements, Stock limits and Movement Restrictions) on Specified Foodstuffs (Sixth Amendment)

Order, 2017 of the ministry of Consumer affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India,

published under S.O. 3422(E) dated 25-10-2017, by which the words and expressions made in

respect of purchase, movement, sale, supply, distribution or storage for sale in the Removal of

(Licensing requirements, Stock limits and Movement Restrictions) on Specified Foodstuffs Order,

2016 have been kept in abeyance for the ‘sugar’ for a period upto 28^th April, 2018, the Governor of

Bihar, with prior concurrence of Govt. of India, makes the following Order :-

1.

Order relating to deletion of Sugar from schedule-1 in the Bihar Trade Article

(Licenses Unification) Order, 1984 by the department’s notification no. 2354 dated

15^th July, 2003 shall be kept in abeyance up to 28.04.2018.

2.

The provisions of the Bihar Trade Article (Licenses Unification) Order, 1984 shall

remain applicable in respect license of wholesale and retail trade of sugar :

Provided that from license under the provisions of the Bihar Trade

Article (Licenses Unification) Order, 1984 a trader trading sugar up to 10 (ten)

quintal shall be free.

3.

Previously issued corresponding notifications/orders related here to shall be deemed

amended up to this extent.

4.

This Order shall come into force from the date of its notification.
