The 28th November 2017
No. SKN/01/09/2011/1226—In exercise of the powers conferred under the provisio to Article
309 of the Constitution of India read with sub rule (6) of Rule 4 of the Bihar Ex-defence Officer
Service Rules, 2016, the Governor of Bihar is hereby pleased to make the following Regulations to
determine the criterion and procedure of selection for the recruitment under Rule 4 of the said Rules,
2016.
1.
Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) These Regulations shall be called “The
Bihar Selection Procedure of Soldiers Welfare Director and District Soldier Welfare Officers
Regulation 2017’’.
(2)
It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.
(3)
It shall come into force at once.

The following eligibility criterion and procedure shall be followed by the Selection
Committee constituted under rule 4 (1) of The Bihar Ex-Defence Officers Service Rules, 2016, for
selection of Director in Sainik Kalyan Nidashalaya and District Soldier Welfare Officers in the
District Soldier Welfare offices:-
(a)
Interview

(b)
Service History

75 marks
The 75 marks prescribed for service history shall be divided as under:-
(i)
Gallantry Award Winners

Taken part in War or Operation

(iii)
Course passed in Defence Service

Exemplary Service in Defence Service :-

Fifteen marks are prescribed for Gallantry Award Winners of above 14 (Fourteen) categories.
In case of receipt of one or more than one gallantary award, the awardee shall receive only 15
marks.
