The 8^th March 2018

No. 4/B1-10-05/2011-1970—In exercise of powers conferred under the proviso of section-

55 and section-97 of Bihar Police Act, 2007, the Governor of Bihar is hereby pleased to make the

following Rules for amendment in The Bihar Police Steno Rules, 2017' –

1. Short title, extent and commencement—

(1)

These Rules may be called The Bihar Police Steno cadre (Amendment)

Rules, 2018.'

(2)

It shall extend to whole of the State of Bihar.

(3)

It shall come into force with immediate effects.

2. Amendment is Sub-Rule (2) of Rule-7 of Bihar Police Steno Cadre Rules, 2017

(Notification No-6838, dated 23.08.2017) .- The following Note-3 shall be added after Note-2 of

Sub-Rule (2) of Rule-7 of The Bihar Police Steno Cadre Rules, 2017—

"Note-3. Above mentioned provisions applicable in respect of the medical

examination of the general candidates will not be applicable to the candidates with disabilities in the

light of the provisons contained in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016"
