The 19th March 2018

No Van bhoomi-13/2008 331 (E.) /Pa.Va.—60.41 ha. of forest land has been diverted

under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 for construction of Kundghat Reservoir Project by way

of errecting a bandh on Bahuar river in Sikandra Block of Jamui district. As provided under the

said Act, 151.20 acres (61.215 ha.) of undisputed Gair Mazrua non-forest land in different khata,

khesra of Chakai, Sono, Jhajha, Khaira and Sikandra Circles of Jamui district has been transferred

by the Revenue and Land Reforms department, Government of Bihar to the department of

Environment & Forest, Bihar without fee on permanent basis in lieu of said diversion of forest

land. People of concerned villages have given their consent an unanimous on transferring the said

land to the Environment and Forest department by way of unanimous resolution. As per conditions

for diversion, the said transferred non-forest Land has to be notified as Reserve/Protected forest.

In the light of aforementioned facts, the Governor of Bihar in exercise of powers conferred

by section 29 (1) of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (Act No. XVI of 1927) declare the said 151.20

acres (61.215 ha.) non-forest land, details of which is given in the Schedule, as Protected

Forest (P.F):-
