S.O. 257, Dated 4^th October 2018— In exercise of the power conferred by section 22(h) of

the Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service)

Act, 1996 (27 of 1996), and Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of

Employment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Rules, 2016, the Government of Bihar makes

following provisions to initiate new scheme – “Annual Medical Assistance Scheme” for the welfare

of registered Construction Workers and their dependents:-

1.

Every construction worker, who is a member of the Board, will be eligible for this

scheme.

2.

In this scheme, every eligible construction worker can get the benefit once in the

year.

3.

Considering the family of every eligible worker as a unit, an amount of Rs. 3,000/-

(Three thousand) in toto will be transferred in the account of every eligible

construction workers.

4.

The amount of Rs. 3,000/-(Three thousand) in toto will be transferred in the bank

account of only female construction workers, if both wife and husband are registered

construction workers.

5.

For assistance of this scheme, the eligible construction worker may apply in

prescribed process along with essential documents in the regional offices of Labour

Resources Department.
