The 25th October 2019
No. B1-3-113/2019- 83—In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause(b) of
Sub-section (3) of Section 27 of the Representation of People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950) and in
supersession of all previous notifications issued on the subject, the Government of Bihar in
concurrence with Election Commission of India is pleased to specify following educational
institutions within the State of Bihar, as shown in the schedule below, as the educational
institutions not lower the standamrd than that of a secondary school for the purpose of
elections to the Teachers’ Constituencies of Legislative Council of the State of Bihar :-

15. Intermediate Colleges recognized by the Bihar Intermediate Education Council
either under the Bihar Intermediate Education Ordinances issued from time to time prior to
1992, or under the Bihar Intermediate Education Council Act, 1992, for which prior
approval of Government has been accorded.
