No. G/Sena-05-04/2016-2561—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (2) of
section 9 of the Maneuvers, Field Firing and Artillery Practices Act, 1938 (Act 5 of 1938), the
Governor of Bihar is pleased to authorize, during the period commencing from the 01st December,
2017 and ending on the 30th November, 2027, the carrying out of Field Firing and or artillery
practice throughout the area described in the schedule hereto annexed. A notification, as required by
sub-section (1) of the said section, defining the said areas as the area within which for a period of ten
years commencing from the 01st December, 2017 and ending on the 30th November, 2027 the
carrying out periodically of the field firing and the artillery practice may be authorized, has been
previously published in the extra-ordinary issue of the “Bihar official Gazette”, dated 13.12.2017
with s.o. no 9641 dated 08.11.2017 and a notification in respect of the same as required by sub-
section (3) of the said section publishing the intention to issue this notification has been previously
published in extra-ordinary issue of the “Bihar Gazette”, dated 15.03.2018 with S.O. no.- 876,
dated 01.02.2018.
The land plan may be inspected at the office of District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur.
Schedule-1
Particulars and boundary of the land-area.
150 acre land in village-Jhanpaha, P.S. No.-594, Jamabandi No. 4582, Circle-Bochaha,
District-Muzaffarpur have been acquired on 05.11.1999 for construction of Group Centre of Central
Reserve Police Force and its boundary fencing has been constructed. 100 meter baffle firing range is
situated on plot (Kheshra) No. 5433 Khata No. 32 area 27.80 acre within said acquired land.
Detailed description of villages situated nearby outside of the boundary of the said firing range is
given below:-
East-
National Highway No. 77 is about 150 meters from the firing range which divides
Group Centre of Central Reserve Police Force, Muzaffarpur in two parts.
West- Gangati village is situated at the distance of about 400 meters from the firing range.
North- The boundary wall of the Group Centre is adjacent to the firing range and on its
outside there is metalled road. At the distance of about 400 meters from the firing

range, Physical Training Institute of Government of Bihar and Kumhar Tola,
Mohammadpur, village is situated.
South- Land and orchard of Group Centre, Central Reserve Police Force is situated upto
250 meters from the firing range.
This notification shall come in to force from the date of issue.
