The 25th November 2020

No. 01/A.G.-46/08-3445—In exercise of the power conferred by proviso to Article

309 of the Constitution of India. The Governor of Bihar makes the following rules for

amendment of Bihar Agriculture Services Category-1 (Shasya) Recruitment Promotion

and Service Conditions Rules, 2014.

1. Short title, extent and Commencement :-

(1)

These rule may be called as the "Bihar Agriculture Services Category-1

(Shasya) Recruitment, Promotion and Service Conditions Amendment

Rules, 2020"

(2)

It shall extend to the whole State of Bihar.

(3)

It shall come into force on the date of Publication in the official Gazette.

2. Substitution of Sub rule 4(ii) of rule-5 of Bihar Agriculture Services Category-

1 (Shasya) Recruitment, Promotion and Service Conditions Rules, 2014 Sub rule 4(ii) of

rule 5 of said Rule shall be Substituted as follows :-

"Age limit-

21 years on 1^st August of the year in which application is

invited. The upper age limit shall be the same as determined for

direct recruitment in the state services by the General

Administration Department, provided that the state government

may increase in special circumstances.

Provided that the upper age limit for direct appointment may be

relaxed for the number of years the applicant is serving on similar contractual

post under Government of Bihar and she/he has been appointed following the

due process of appointment."

3. Addition of sub rule 5(4)(vA) in rule-5 of Bihar Agriculture Services Category-1

(Shasya) Recruitment, Promotion and Service Conditions Rules, 2014. Sub Rule 4(vA)

shall be added between the sub rule 4(v) and 4(vi) in the rule 5 of the said Rule:-

"5(4)(vA) Appointment on post of basic grade shall be made on the basis

of the marks obtained in the written and oral examination and the preference

given for the period of contractual appointment.
