No-7/Astha.-1-4-05/2011-3923/ GAD—In exercise of the powers conferred by

Article 234 of Constitution of India the Governor of Bihar in consultation with High Court,

Patna and Bihar Public Service Commission is pleased to make the following Rules to

amend the Bihar Civil Service (Judicial Branch) (Recruitment) Rules, 1955:-

Bihar Civil Service (Judicial Branch) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2021

1. Short title and commencement. –

(1) This Rules may be called the Bihar Civil Service (Judicial Branch)

(Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2021.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. The following Proviso be inserted at the end of Clause 3 of Appendix-'E' to

the Bihar Civil Service (Judicial Branch) (Recruitment) Rules, 1955:

“Provided that appraisal of the period during which the officer was conferred

the power of Judicial Magistrate 2^nd Class shall not be considered as a

disqualification for the purpose of promotion if the same falls short of the parameters

prescribed”.
