NOTIFICATION

The 1^st April, 2011

No. P.A.-1/V.M.(Salary & Allowances of Members)-05-02/2011-595— In exercise

of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Bihar Legislature (Salary, Allowances and

Pension of Members) Act, 2006 (Act No. 16, 2006), the Governor of Bihar makes the

following amendments in Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension of Members)

Rules, 2006:-

(Amendment) Rules, 2011

1. Short title and commencement-

(1)

These Rules may be called the Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and

Pension of Members) (Amendment) Rules, 2011.

(2)

They shall come into force from the date of issue of notification.

2. Amendment in Rule 3 (b) of the said Rules, 2006.—The figure and words "Rs.

8,000/-" used in the fourth line of Rule 3 (b) shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand)".

3. Amendment in Rule 4 of the said Rules, 2006.—The figure, words and bracket

"Rs. 12,000/- (twelve thousand)" used in the second line of Rule 4 shall be substituted by

the figure, words and bracket" Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand)".

4. Amendment in Rule 5 of the said Rules, 2006.—The words "Rs. six lakh" used

in the third line of Rule 5 shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs.

8,00,000/- (eight lakh)".

5. Amendment in Rule 6 of the said Rules, 2006.—The figure words and bracket

"Rs. 2,000/- (two thousand)" used in the fourth line of Rule 6 shall be substituted by the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 5,000/- (five thousand)".

6. Amendment in Rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006.—The figure, words and bracket

"Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand)" used in the fourth line of Rule 7 shall be substituted by the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 15,000/- (fifteen thousand)".

7. Amendment in Rule 8 (a) of the said Rule, 2006.—The figure "Rs.10/-" used in

the fifth line of Rule 8 (a) shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 15/-

(fifteen)".

8. Amendment in Rule 9 (1) of the said Rules, 2006.—The figure and words "Rs.

500/-" used in the second and third line of para (1) of Rule 9 shall be substituted by the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 1,000/- (one thousand)" and the figure and words "Rs.1,000/-

" used in the fourth line shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 2,000/-

(two thousand)".

9. Amendment in Rule 16 of the said Rules, 2016.—The figure and words "Rs.

25,000/-" used in the second line of Rule 16 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket" Rs. 50,000/- (fifty thousand)".

10. Amendment in Rule 17 (1) of the said Rules, 2006.—The figure and words

"Rs. 6,000/-" used in the fourth line of Rule 17 (1) shall be substituted by the figure, words

and bracket "Rs. 15000/- (fifteen thousand)" and the figure "Rs. 500/-" used in the sixth line

shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 1,000/- (one thousand)".
