Notification

The 11^th June 2021

No P.A.-1/V.M.(Salary & Allowances of Members)-05-02/2011(part)-625—In

exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Bihar Legislature (Salary, Allowances

and Pension of Members) Act, 2006 (Act No. 16, 2006) (as amended from time to time), the

Governor of Bihar makes the following amendments in Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances

and Pension of Members) Rules, 2006:-

Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension of Members)

(Amendment) Rules, 2014

1.

Short title and Commencement-

(1) These Rules may be called the Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension

of Members) (Amendment) Rules, 2014.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of issue of notification.

Amendment in Rule 3(b) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand)" used in

fourth line of Rules 3(b) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure,

words and bracket "Rs. 30,000/- (thirty thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 4 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand)" used in

second line of Rule 4 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure,

words and bracket "Rs. 45,000/- (forty five thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 5 of the said Rules, 2006 –

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 8,00,000/-(eight lakh)" used in third line

of Rule 5 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 10,00,000/- (ten lakh)”.

Amendment in Rule 6 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 5,000/- (five thousand)" used in fourth

line of Rule 6 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 6,000/- (six thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 15,000/- (fifteen thousand)" used in the

fourth, sixth and twelfth line of Rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by

the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 20,000/- (twenty thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 9 (1) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 1,000/- (one thousand)" used in the

second and third line of Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 9 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be

substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 2000/- (two thousand)" and the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 2,000/- (two thousand)" used in the fourth line shall

be substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 2,500/- (two thousand five

hundred)".

Amendment in Rule 17 (1) of the said Rules, 2016-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 15,000/- (fifteen thousand)" used in the

fourth line of Sub-Rule (1) of Rule 17 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by

the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand)" and the figure

words and bracket " Rs.1,000/- (one thousand)" used in the sixth line shall be

substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 2,000/- (two thousand)".
