The 26^th November 2018

No P.A.-1/V.M.(Salary & Allowances of Members)-05-06/2017-793—In exercise of

the powers conferred by section 8 of the Bihar Legislature (Salary, Allowances and Pension

of Members) Act, 2006 (Act No. 16, 2006) (as amended from time to time), the Governor

of Bihar hereby makes the following amendments in Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances

and Pension of Members) Rules, 2006 (as amended from time to time)-

Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension of Members)

(Amendment) Rules, 2018

1.

Short title and commencement-

(1) These Rules may be called the Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension

of Members) (Amendment) Rules, 2018.

(2) They shall come into force from 1^st December, 2018.

Amendment in Rule 3(b) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 30,000/- (thirty thousand)" used in fourth line of

Rule 3 (b) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 40,000/- (forty thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 4 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 45,000/- (forty five thousand)" used in second line

of Rule 4 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket

"Rs. 50,000/- (fifty thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 5 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 10,00,000/- (ten lakh)" used in the third line of

Rule 5 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket

"Rs. 15,00,000/- (fifteen lakh)".

Amendment in Rule 6 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 6,000/- (six thousand)" used in third line of Rule 6

of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs.

10,000/- (ten thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 20,000/- (twenty thousand)" used in the fourth,

sixth and twelfth line of Rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 30,000/- (thirty thousand)".

Amendment in Rule 10 of the said Rules, 2006

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 2,00,000/- (two lakh)" used in the fourth line of

Rule 10 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket

"Rs. 3,00,000/- (three lakh)".

Amendment in Rule 11(2) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 22,250/- (twenty two thousand two hundred

fifty)" used in the second line of Rule 11 (2) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be

substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 28,000/- (twenty eight thousand)"

and the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 6,000/- (six thousand)" used in the third line

shall be substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 7,000/- (seven thousand)".

9.

Amendment in Rule 17 (1) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 25,000/- (twenty five thousand)" used in the

third line of Rule 17 (1) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure,

words and bracket "Rs. 35,000/- (thirty five thousand)" and the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 2,000/- (two thousand)" used in the fifth line shall be substituted by the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 3,000/- (three thousand)".

10.

Amendment in Rule 17(4) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 1,00,000/- (one lakh)" used in the fourth line of

Rule 17 (4) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 1,50,000/- (one lakh fifty thousand)".
