No. 06/Vivid-19/2017-1283—In exercise of the power conferred by section-6(d) of Bihar

Motor Vehicle Taxation (Amendment) Act, 2016 for the taxation of the vehicles purchased in public

auction, serial-9 is inserted after serial-8 in part-c of Schedule-1 made under sub section-1 of

section-5 of Bihar Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, 1994.

are owned by the State Government in light of the

rule-57 of Central Motor Vehicle Rule, 1989, the

highest bid price in the public auction shall be the

purchase price of such vehicles and tax shall be

imposed as per the corresponding category of

vehicle and tax fixed thereupon.

2. This notification shall come into effect after 5 working days of its publication in Bihar

Gazette.
