No. Van/Parya-29/1998 212 (E) E.F.&C.C.--In exercise of the powers conferred by
Sec.-64 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (No-6 of 1974), the
State Govt. after consultation with the Bihar State Pollution Control Board, hereby makes
the following amendments in the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) (Consent fee)
Bihar Rules, 1984 (as amended from time to time):-

A new Rule-4 is inserted in the rules as under:
Rule 4: The government will have power to bring new industrial units under the
purview of consent fee and review and fix the consent fee in future by notification.
Comments
(1)
The capital investment of the Industries specified in the schedule includes all
investments which are made in fixed assets like land, building, plants and machinery
(2)
Application for consents, without consent fee, as indicated in the aforesaid schedule
shall not be accepted by the Board.
(3)
The consent fee shall be paid through Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Member
Secretary, Bihar State Pollution control Board payable at Patna.
This notification shall come in to force from the date of its publication in the Bihar
Official Gazette.
