Notification
The 22nd September 2022
No. Van bhoomi-26/2020-721(bZ)/E.F.C.C.—36.04251 ha.of forest land is being
diverted under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980 for construction of reservoir under
Ganga Water Lift Project for supply of drinking water in Nalanda District. As provided
under the said Act, 35.75 acres (14.4675 ha.) of undisputed Gair Majarua Malik Kism Parti
kadim in Circle-Silaw Mauja-Nanand, Thana No. 440, Khata No.-727, Khesra No. -921,
Rakwa-19.75 acres and Circle-Giriyak Mauja-Mahammadpur, Thana No. 348, Khata No.-
69, Khesra No. -25, Rakwa-16.00, Total-Rakwa 35.75 acres (14. 4675 ha.) under Nalanda
district has been transferred by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department order-cum-
memo no.-966 dated-27.08.2021 and memo no.-798 dated-27.07.2021 to the department of
Environment, Forest & Climate Change Dept. Bihar without fee on permanent basis in lieu
of said diversion of forest land. As per condition for diversion, the said transferred non-
forest Land has to be notification as Resere/Protected forest.
In the light of aforementioned facts, the Governor of Bihar in exercise of powers
conferred by section 29(3) of the India Forest Act, 1927 (Act No. XVI of 1972) declare the
said 35.75 acres (14.47366 ha.) Gair Majarua Malik Kism Parti kadim non-forest land,
details of with is given in the Schedule, as Protected Forest (P.F) :-
