P.A.-1/V.M.(Salary & Allowances of Members)-05-06/2017-776—In exercise of the
powers conferred by the section 8 of the Bihar Legislature (Salary, Allowances and Pension
of Members) Act, 2006 (Act No. 16, 2006) (As amended from time to time), the Governor
of Bihar hereby makes the following Amendments in Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances
and Pension of Members) Rules, 2006 (as amended from time to time) :-
Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension of Members)
(Amendment) Rules, 2022
1. Short title and commencement.—
(1) These Rules may be called the Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and
Pension of Members) (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official
gazzette.
2. Rule 15 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the following:-
"The payment of Electricity bill up to 30000 (Thirty thousand) unit for every
financial year shall be made to every member by the Bihar Legislative
Assembly/Bihar Legislative Council, as the case may be, but only for the
residence in Patna. Where the consumption of electricity exceeds the said
limit, that will be paid by the member himself/herself, however he/she shall
not have to pay any water tax for water supply"
