No. P.A.-1/V.M.(Salary & Allowances of Members)-05-06/2017-864--In exercise

of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Bihar Legislature (Salary, Allowances and

Pension of Members) Act, 2006 (Act No. 16, 2006) (as amended from time to time), the

Governor of Bihar hereby makes the following Rules to amend the Bihar Legislature (Pay,

Allowances and Pension of Members) Rules, 2006 (as amended from time to time)-

Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension) (Amendment) Rules, 2022

1. Short title and commencement-

(1) These Rules may be called the Bihar Legislature (Pay, Allowances and Pension)

(Amendment) Rules, 2022.

(2) The amendment shall be effective from the date of issue of the Notification.

(3) This Notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in

Official Gazette.

2. Amendment in Rule 3 (b) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 40,000/- (forty thousand)" used in the fourth

line of Rule 3(b) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words

and bracket "Rs. 50,000/- (fifty thousand)".

3. Amendment in Rule 4 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 50,000/- (fifty thousand)" used in the second

line of Rule 4 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 55,000/- (fifty five thousand)".

4. Amendment in Rule 5 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 15,00,000/- (fifteen lakh)" used in the third line

of Rule 5 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 25,00,000/- (twenty five lakh)".

5. Amendment in Rule 6 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand)" used in the third line

of Rule 6 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 15,000/- (fifteen thousand)".

6. Amendment in Rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 30,000/- (thirty thousand)" used in the fourth,

sixth and twelfth line of Rule 7 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 40,000/- ( forty thousand)".

7. Amendment in Rule 8(a), (b)(iv), b(v) and d(iv) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 20/- (twenty)" used in the fifth line of 8 (a),

first line of (b)(iv), third line of fourth and fifth proviso of (b) (v) and first line of

(d)(iv) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 25/-(twenty five)".

8. Amendment in Rule 9(1) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 2,000/- (two thousand)" used in the second and

third line of Rule 9(1) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure,

words and bracket "Rs. 3,000/- (three thousand)" and the figure, words and bracket

"Rs. 2,500/- (two thousand five hundred)" used in the fourth line shall be

substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 3,500/- (three thousand five

hundred)".

9. Amendment in Rule 10 of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 3,00,000/- (three lakh)" used in the forth line of

Rule 10 of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure, words and

bracket "Rs.4,00,000/- (four lakh)".

10. Amendment in Rule 11(2) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs.28,000/- (twenty eight thousand)" used in the

second line of Rule 11 (2) of the said Rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the

figure, words and bracket "Rs. 35,000/- (thirty five thousand)" and the figure,

words and bracket "Rs. 7,000/-(seven thousand)" used in the third line shall be

substituted by the figure, words and bracket "Rs. 8,000/-(eight thousand)".

11. Amendment in Rule 17(1) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs. 35,000/-(thirty five thousand)" used in the

fourth line of rule 17(1) of the said rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure,

words and bracket "Rs. 45,000/-(forty five thousand)" and the figure, words and

bracket "Rs. 3,000/-(three thousand)" used in the sixth line shall be substituted by

the figure, words and bracket "Rs.4,000/-(four thousand)".

12. Amendment in Rule 17(4) of the said Rules, 2006-

The figure, words and bracket "Rs.1,50,000/-(one lakh fifty thousand)" used in the

fourth line of Rule 17(4) of the said rules, 2006 shall be substituted by the figure,

words and bracket "Rs. 2,00,000/-(two lakh)".
