conferred under Section-11 of the Bihar Urban Planning and Development Act, 2012 read with Rule-

11 of the Bihar Urban Planning and Development Rules, 2014, the Government of Bihar hereby

constitutes the Planning Authority, which shall be known as "Madhepura Planning Area

Authority" to prepare Master Plan and other development plans of Madhepura Planning Area, its

implementation and for other lawful actions, and it shall be constituted as follows:-

(i)

District Magistrate, Madhepura

Chairman

(ii)

Chief Town Planner or representative, Town and Country Planning

Organization

Member

(iii)

Executive Officer, Municipal Council Madhepura

Member

(iv)

Officials nominated by the State Government not exceeding five:

(a)

Deputy Development Commissioner, Madhepura

Member

(b)

Additional Collector (Revenue), Madhepura

Member

(c) Concerned Executive Engineer, Road Construction

Department, Road Division, Madhepura

Member

(d) Concerned Executive Engineer, Public Health Engineering

Department, Public Health Division, Madhepura

(e) Concerned Executive Engineer, Rural Works Department,

(v)

Persons who possess special knowledge or practical Experience in

town planning appointed by State Government not exceeding two

Names of the persons mentioned in above sub clause (v) shall be notified by the Urban

Development and Housing Department.

2. The authority may exercise the powers prescribed in the Bihar Urban Planning and

Development Act, 2012 and the Bihar Urban Planning and Development Rules, 2014 for the

performance of its functions.
