BIHAR SECRETARIAT SERVICE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2023

AN

ACT

to amend the Bihar Secretariat Service Act, 2007

(Bihar Act 03, 2008)

PREAMBLE :-

WHEREAS, The nomenclature of Assistant in Bihar Secretariat Service is to be

changed from ‘Assistant’ to ‘Assistant Section Officer’. It is necessary to amend the Bihar

Secretariat Service Act, 2007.

NOW THEREFORE, be it enacted by the legislature of the State of Bihar in the

Seventy Fourth year of Republic of India as follows :-

1. Short title, extent and commencement.—

(1)

This Act may be called "The Bihar Secretariat Service (Amendment)

Act, 2023".

(2)

It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.

(3)

It shall be deemed to come into force from the date of issue of

Resolution/ Notification by the Government.

2. Amendment in Bihar Secretariat Service Act, 2007 (Bihar Act 03, 2008) :-

"In the said Act, wherever the word ‘Assistant’ is mentioned shall be subsitituted

by the words ‘Assistant Section Officer.’"
