conferred by section 8 of the Bihar Legislature (Salary, Allowances and Pension of

Members) Act, 2006 (Act No. 16, 2006) (As amended from time to time), the Governor of

Bihar is hereby pleased to make the following Rules to amend Bihar Legislature Leader of

the Opposition, Parliamentary Secretary, Whip and Leader of the House (Salary and

Allowances) Rules, 2006:-

Bihar Legislature Leader of the Opposition, Parliamentary Secretary, Whip and

Leader of the House (Salary and Allowances) (Amendment) Rules, 2024

1. Short title and commencement.—

(1)

These Rules may be called the Bihar Legislature Leader of the

Opposition, Parliamentary Secretary, Whip and Leader of the House

(Salary and Allowances) (Amendment) Rules, 2024.

(2)

This Notification shall come into force from the date of its publication

in Official Gazette.

2. In addition to the Explanation contained in Rule -3 of the said Rules the

Explanation 3(iii) shall be added as follows:

''Whip of both the Houses of the Legislature shall be entitled to pay,

allowances and other facilities at par with the State Minister of the

Government.''
