NOTIFICATION
Nirvachan Sadan, Ashoka Road, New Delhi-110001/Dated 18th October 2024,
26 Asvina, 1946 (Saka)
No.100/ES-I/BR-LA/5/2024—WHEREAS, the seat of Sh. Jitan Ram Manjhi, in the
Legislative Assembly of the State of Bihar, elected from 227-Imamganj (SC) Assembly
Constituency in the State, has become vacant on 14-06-2024 by reason of her resignation from the
post; and
2. WHEREAS, a bye-election is to be held for the purpose of filling the said vacancy;
3. NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 150 and sections
30 and 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election
Commission of India hereby-
(A) Calls upon the said 227-Imamganj (SC) Assembly Constituency in the State of
Bihar, to elect, before the 25th November, 2024 (Monday) and in accordance with
the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder, a
person belonging to any of the scheduled castes of the state, for the purpose of
filling the said vacancy in the Legislative Assembly of the State;

(B) Appoints, with respect to the said election:-
(a) the 25th October, 2024 (Friday)
as the last date for making nominations ;
(b) the 28th October, 2024 (Monday)
as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 30th October, 2024 (Wednesday)
as the last date for the withdrawal of
candidatures;
(d) the 13th November, 2024 (Wednesday)
as the date on which a poll shall, if
necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 25th November, 2024 (Monday)
as the date before which the election shall
be Completed; and
(C) fixes the hours from 7.00 A.M to 6.00 P.M for Polling Stations No. 22, 23,
32,44, 55, 84, 111, 112, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 122, 123, 124, 197, 199, 284,
285, 294, 311, 312, 313, 314, 317, 318, 319, and 320 of abovesaid Assembly
Constituency and for remaining Polling Stations the hours from 7.00 A.M to
4.00 P.M during which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on the date
specified above for the election.
