No ch1&3&178@2024&96—Whereas in pursuance of the notification no.100/BR-
LC/12/2024-G&T issued by Election Commission of India on 11th November, 2024 under
section 151 section 30 and section 56 of the Representation of people Act 1951 (43 of
1951) the seat of Shri Devesh Chandra Thakur in the Legislative Council of the State of
Bihar, elected from Tirhut Graduates Constituency has been became vacant by the reason
of his resignation, before expiration of his term of office which was up to and including
16.11.2026, a Bye election has been held on the 05th December, 2024 for the purpose of
filling the so caused vacancy.
Whereas, the result of the election has been declared by the Returning Officer
concerned under section 66 of the Representation of people Act 1951 (43 of 1951).
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 67 and 156 (2) of the Representation of
people Act 1951 (43 of 1951),hereby notifies the name of member elected with Party
affiliation. elected from Tirhut Graduates Constituency for Bihar Legislative council for
remainder of his predecessor’s term of office:-
