(Statute)-25/2014-1866/GS(I)--The Hon'ble Chancellor, after due
consideration of the amendments in the Statute for the appointment as Assistant
Professor in the Universities of Bihar, 2020 prepared by the Statute Committee
consisting of three Vice Chancellor viz. Vice Chancellor, Magadh University, Bodh
Gaya, Vice Chancellor, Munger University, Munger and Vice Chancellor, Purnea
University, Purnea, constituted vide Governor's Secretariat Notification No. BSU
(Statute)-25/2014-261/GS(1), dated 03-02-2020, the opinion of the Vice-Chancellors of
the concerned Universities and the opinion of the State Government submitted vide
Education Department, Government of Bihar letter no. 15/, 2-02/2016-1354 dated
18-08-2020 and letter no. 15/, 2-02/2016-1390 dated 26-08-2020 and in exercise of
powers vested in him under section- 36 (7) of the Bihar State Universities Act, 1976 and
the Patna University Act, 1976 (as amended up-to-date), has been pleased to approve the
enclosed amendments (in English & Hindi) in the Statute for the appointment as
Assistant Professor in the Universities of Bihar, 2020.
The Notification issued earlier vide this Secretariat notification no. BSU (Statute)-
25/2014-1472/ GS (1) dated 10-08-2020 may be treated as amended to that extent.

by the UGC/ ICSSR/ CSIR
or any similar agency.
The fulfillment of these
conditions is to be certified by the
registrar or the Dean (Academic
Affairs/Faculty) of the University
concerned.
Provided further that the candidates
registered for the Ph.D. programme prior

Since
the
UGC
(Minimum
Standard and Procedure for award of
M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) Regulation 2009
has been notified by Raj Bhawan in
Bihar State vide its resolution in
November,
2012
and
it
was
implemented by the Universities of
Bihar on different dates after the
notification of Raj Bhawan, hence the
applicants who have registered and
obtained
Ph.D
Degree
from
the
Universities in Bihar during the period
of
11.07.2009
till
the
date
of

Implementation of UGC Regulation,
2009 in the Universities of Bihar shall
be exempted from the requirement of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment if they
have been awarded Ph.D Degree in
compliance with the above 5 conditions
mentioned from A to E and certificate
regarding fulfilment of conditions has
been issued by the Registrar/Dean
(Academic Affairs) of that University.
